We collect information that you provide directly to us when you create an account and interact with the platform:
- Account Registration Data: Name, username, email address, password, and profile picture.
- User-Generated Content (UGC): Posts (text and selected backgrounds), comments, likes, private chat messages, friend requests, mentions, and tags.
- Preferences & Settings: App language settings (English, Nepali, Hindi), theme choices, notification preferences, and block lists.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following essential purposes:
- To create, manage, and maintain your personal user account.
- To facilitate secure social interactions (messages, requests, tags, and mentions) based strictly on your personal privacy controls.
- To provide instant text translation features across languages (powered securely by Google Al Studio / Gemini API).
- To detect, prevent, and mitigate security threats, account hacking, or credential leaks.
- To enforce our Community Guidelines and combat negative or abusive activities inside the app.
3. User Data Privacy and Controls
Sanjal provides comprehensive, user-centric privacy settings to give you full control over your digital footprint:
- Post Visibility: You can dynamically set your post privacy to Public, Friends-only, or Private.
- Interaction Control: You can customize who can send you directmessages (Public, Friends, or Nobody), who can tag/mention you, and who can view your likes and comments.
- User Blocking: You can block specific users instantly to prevent them from messaging or interacting with you in any capacity.
4. Account Deletion and Data Retention Policy
In strict compliance with Google Play Developer Policies regarding user data deletion, we offer a transparent and secure mechanism:
- Deletion Request: You can trigger the permanent account deletion process directly from the app settings at any time.
- 30-Day Recovery Window: Upon requesting deletion, your account enters a “Suspended” state for exactly 30 days. During this period, you can log back into your account at any moment to fully recover your data and cancel the deletion process.
- Permanent Purge: If you do not recover the account within the 30-day window, all your data-including your user profile, text posts, chat histories, direct messages, and social links-will be permanently and irreversibly wiped from our Firebase servers.
5. Account Security and Administrative Actions
If your account suffers from a security breach, hacking, or login credential leaks, you can immediately contact our Administrator through the built-in Help Center Chat or official email to request an immediate emergency account suspension. The Administrator also reserves the right to issue warnings, remove posts, or suspend accounts that display malicious, illegal, or negative behavior.
